CHRIST CHURCH CHOIRS
For those wishing to step beyond the congregation and offer their musical talents at another level, we offer several choirs. One need not be a member of Christ Church to sing in our choirs.
Parish Choir
The Parish choir sings at the11 am service September through May. In addition to Sunday morning, the Parish Choir also offers Choral Evensong, Lessons & Carols, and other Holy Day liturgies throughout the church year, including Requiem and Passiontide performances. Repertoire is drawn from diverse sources including chant, Renaissance motets, spirituals, and 19th-, 20th-, and 21st- century choral music. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm in the church.

Joyful Voices
The Joyful Voices choir sings at the 8:30 service. Our music is taken from contemporary Christian and folk-style music. Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 pm in the Music Room.

Handbells
The handbell choir practices and plays on our 3-octave set of Schulmerich bells and chimes. Music reading skills are helpful but not necessary. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings 7 to 8 pm. Space is limited, so be sure to contact handbell director, Jean Reichenbach, to ask about availability. High School students are invited to join handbells, too!

Solos and Small Groups
There is an opportunity for singing solos or working in small groups.

Questions about any of our groups? New choir members are welcome at any time during the year. It is not necessary to read music. All groups are volunteer organizations.
