Lisa was ordained to the vocational diaconate on June 20, 2015. As a permanent deacon, Lisa’s primary ministry is to those affected by alcoholism and addiction—working to assist churches in formulating a response to those who suffer. She currently serves on the General Convention Court of Review for Priest and Deacons. Lisa received a Bachelor’s degree in religion from Salem College in Winston Salem, NC, attended graduate school in Sociology at Wake Forest University and received a Master’s Degree from Providence Theological School. She has served as President of Recovery Ministries, Junior and Senior Warden, a Verger, and a variety of lay ministries associated with liturgy. She has taught at retreats for vestries and for women in recovery. Lisa has an adult son, Jonathan.
