PLANNED GIVING
Where your legacy gift can make a difference
Remembering Christ Church in your will provides for the continued ministry in a place that has nourished and provided for us in this life. Leaving a planned, or legacy, gift to Christ Church is a way we can continue to be the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus in this community and in the world.
There are many ways to leave a gift to Christ Church. We have captured most of them on this page. If you or your family would like to discuss other ideas and options, we are more than glad to have that conversation.
May God continue to bless you and your family during this time!
In Christ,
The Rev. Paul Canady, Rector
The Endowment Fund
In 2007, the Vestry determined a new and separate fund was needed "to more completely fulfill its mission by developing its ministries beyond what was possible through the annual operating fund. This fund is limited to capital needs of Christ Church, seed money for new ministries, special one-time projects and funds established by the Vestry. The Vance family's donation was invested and became the basis for Sacred Space.

The Christ Church Trust
The Trust came into being in 1975 through the generosity of parishioners and the Coleman family. The purpose was to support charitable, religious and educational organizations. In the last decade, over $730,000 in grants have been awarded to local charities. Among those charities are Religious Community Services (RCS), Merci Clinic, Coastal Women's Shelter, Interfaith Refugee Ministry and Habitat for Humanity.
The Memorial Fund
This fund was established many decades ago as a means to give a specific gift in memory of a loved one. Many items in the church bear brass memorial plaques. It has also been used to purchase items like Clergy stoles, chasubles, and communion vessels. Please click here to read the Memorial Fund Policy, adopted by the Vestry in March 2022.
